How can I contribute? Record your fuel consumption and your routes.

- Build your car (just the first time)
- Record your driven km and your refueling amount on the Add your fuel consumption page. (or energy recharging).
We suggest you do it every time you refill/recharge your vehicle.
You can find out your average fuel consumption and fuel expenses.
And through constant monitoring of fuel consumption
and CO2 emissions, European scientists are
building more and more accurate models for
simulating Internal Combustion Engines (ICE)
vehicles. Models, data, lab tests, all contribute to
write the legislation for reducing CO2 emissions
more accurately and to fight climate change.

- Open the App, press Record, drive to your destination and once you have reached it click Stop.
- Send the data.Your route will be recorded, unless you wish to delete it.
You can monitor your car trips and compare them with the estimated routes, find out your average fuel consumption and expenses (if you add the data on the Add your fuel consumption page).
The European Union is committed to fight climate
change in many ways: the implementation of
policies to facilitate the use of electric cars is
one of them. The study of traffic patterns and the
creation of models are fundamental steps for taking
practical actions as the placement of energy
recharging stations in the correct locations.
Data are the most important resource for a scientist.
These are projects you, as a citizen scientist, can help us with.
If you provide fuel consuption and routes, you are giving us the most valuable information and you can become an Premium User. We will anonymize the data and then use them to evaluate real driving fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of cars.. We will use the data to quantify pollution in cities and rural areas, help municipalities and local governments, monitor driver behaviors, build more accurate models to simulate CO2 emissions, write better legislation for entire Europe.
We will use Electric vehicle data to check real driving range, the effectiveness of energy recuperation, the placement and sizing of recharging stations in cities, rural areas and highways. We will evaluate the range of electric vehicles and the recharging needs.
We will find better ways to fight climate change and pollution in our streets.
If you provide us just with the fuel consumption (km run and fuel consumed) we are still able to do a lot. We will compare fuel consumption between real life and testing environment, evaluate a precise amount of CO2 emitted in the atmosphere, find an average of fuel consumption per vehicle and vehicle segment. We will tell you how to save fuel, and how to save money.
If you provide us with the real routes you run daily, or just one route every week, we will be able to analyze and build driving behaviors models, traffic models and recharging stations placement models.we will retrieve the necessary information and statistics for building better solutions and policy for all citizens in the future. All this will be done after the complete anonymization of your data, privacy is for us the most important value in this project.
